The Halden Rice Cooker prepares up to six cups of cooked rice using algorithmic fuzzy-logic temperature regulation. An onboard microprocessor monitors thermal sensors beneath the heating plate and inside the sealed lid, automatically modulating wattage to adjust for water evaporation rates and ambient kitchen conditions. Instead of non-stick chemical coatings that scratch or degrade, the inner pot is pressed from solid 304 food-grade stainless steel with a mirror-polished interior surface.
Pre-programmed cycles manage white short-grain, long-grain basmati, brown rice, steel-cut oats, and slow steam cooking. The stainless inner vessel features etched interior volumetric markings that do not wear away over time. After cooking, the appliance switches automatically to a low-wattage warming mode that maintains serving temperature for twelve hours without drying the grains along the bottom.
Maintenance requires washing the inner pot by hand or in the dishwasher, while the detachable aluminum inner lid and condensation collector rinse under warm tap water. Because the steel pot lacks PTFE coatings, starchy rices will form a mild bottom crust if left sitting on warm for extended periods without moisture.
