Description
The Halden Stand Mixer is built around a heavy die-cast metal body and an all-metal gear direct-drive motor that delivers consistent torque without belt slippage. Its planetary mixing head rotates attachments around the bowl interior while simultaneously spinning them on their own axis, ensuring complete ingredient incorporation along the bottom and sidewalls. The five-quart stainless steel bowl rests on a rigid dual-arm cradle that raises and locks into position with a steel lever, providing far greater stability during heavy mixing than tilting-head designs.
Ten calibrated speeds provide steady control from slow folding to high-speed whipping. Included with the machine are three tools: an enameled flat beater for batters, a spiral dough hook for yeast kneading, and an eleven-wire stainless steel whisk for meringues and cream.
Wipe the painted housing down with a damp cloth. The stainless bowl and coated beater are dishwasher safe, but the hook and wire whisk require hand washing to prevent surface oxidation. While capable of kneading dense bread doughs, the motor is not intended for continuous commercial batches exceeding three pounds of dry flour at a time.
