Description
The Halden slow cooker is built around a heavy, glazed stoneware crock seated inside a brushed stainless-steel housing. That stoneware vessel retains heat evenly across long cooking cycles and lifts free by its integrated side handles, allowing it to move directly from the heating base to a trivet on the dining table. The tempered glass lid features a silicone gasket and a metal rim that seats firmly against the crock rim to prevent moisture loss during long, unattended braises and stews.
A simple digital interface offers low, high, and keep-warm settings with timer programming adjustable up to twenty hours in thirty-minute increments. Once the programmed duration finishes, the unit drops automatically into keep-warm mode for up to four hours. The six-quart volume accommodates a six-pound bone-in pork shoulder or a whole four-pound chicken with root vegetables arranged along the base.
The crock and glass lid are both dishwasher safe, while the metal exterior wipes clean with a damp cloth. It does not sear food; stovetop browning must be handled in a separate skillet prior to loading the crock.
