Description
The Ridge pot scraper is injection-moulded from a single piece of rigid, food-grade polycarbonate. Engineered with four distinct corner profiles, the scraper fits the varying transition radii found inside cast-iron skillets, Dutch ovens, sheet pans, and stainless-steel sauté pans. Its narrow leading edges concentrate manual force to shear away baked-on fond, caramelized sugars, and scorched starches without gouging into the seasoned patina of raw iron or scratching seasoned carbon steel.
The scraper measures just under three inches on each side, providing enough surface area to brace firmly against the thumb and forefinger without flexing under heavy downward pressure. A textured center pad gives traction when hands are wet or greasy from cooking fats. Because polycarbonate does not absorb liquids, the scraper resists stains from tomato acids, turmeric, and char marks.
Rinse the tool with warm tap water or run it through the top rack of a residential dishwasher. While highly effective on metal cookware, it is too rigid for delicate non-stick coatings, where repeated sharp scraping can compromise the fluoropolymer layer.
