Constructed from welded tubular steel finished in a matte, chip-resistant powder coat, this freestanding airer provides eleven metres of total drying span across fourteen parallel rungs. The stepped scissor frame deploys in seconds, locking into dual grooved detents that hold the rails rigid under the weight of wet denim trousers, heavy bath towels, and soaked cotton blankets. Because the tubular rungs are wider than thin wire alternatives, they circulate air through the interior fold of hung garments, cutting indoor dry times and leaving no sharp creases across shoulder seams.
When laundry day is finished, the airer unlatches smoothly and collapses down to an ultra-lean eight-centimetre profile that slides beside a washing machine or hangs flat behind an interior door. Protective non-marking rubber feet steady the legs over slick tile or hardwood without skidding. The powder-coated surface stands up to damp clothes, but leaving the rack outdoors through prolonged rainfall will eventually encourage rust at the interior hinge rivets. Designed for balanced loads; draping multiple dripping wet woollen coats entirely on one side will cause the unit to tip.
