Description
This two-metre garland uses real eucalyptus foliage that has undergone a plant-based preservation treatment to maintain its pliability and deep green colour without water. The leaves are bound along an internal steel wire core wrapped in paper tape, allowing you to bend the stem around platters or secure it along a flat mantelpiece. Because the branches are cured rather than synthetic, individual leaf shapes vary, and the surface retains a matte, leathery texture.
The wired stem holds whatever gentle curve you shape into it, but it remains light enough to drape across a table runner without shifting. You can weave it through candlesticks or trim sections with wire snips if a shorter span is required.
Preserved foliage does not require watering or misting, both of which will dissolve the preservation salts and cause the dye to bleed onto table linens. Keep the garland away from direct sunlight, high humidity, and open flames, as dried botanicals remain combustible. Some slight shedding occurs during initial shaping.
