Description
This tall stoneware vase is slip-cast from dense clay and finished in a smooth, unreflective matte glaze. The narrow neck pinches inward to support one or two heavier branches, woody stems, or dried grasses without allowing them to splay outward or tip the vessel. Its unglazed base sits flat against surfaces, though we recommend a felt pad on soft timber to avoid scuffs.
Measuring twelve inches in height with a four-inch base diameter, the interior holds roughly forty fluid ounces of water. The chamber is fully vitrified and liquid-tight, meaning it holds fresh cut flowers without seeping through the ceramic foot. It will not, however, accommodate dense, multi-stem floral bunches; wide arrangements will choke at the slender collar.
Hand washing with warm water, mild liquid soap, and a flexible bottle brush is necessary, as the opening prevents reaching inside with a sponge. The piece is sufficiently weighted to remain upright under long dogwood cuttings, but it will crack if dropped onto tile or granite surfaces.
