Woven from long-staple cotton yarns on mechanical looms and finished with a wire-brushing process, this throw provides immediate softness without the static cling of synthetic fleece. The brushing raises the surface fibers to trap warm air, making the medium-weight weave suitable for draughty sofas or the foot of a bed through cold weather. Both short ends are finished by hand, twisting and knotting the raw warp yarns into a sturdy three-inch fringe that resists unraveling in daily use.

At fifty inches wide by seventy inches long, the dimensions cover an adult comfortably while reading or resting without dragging across dusty floorboards. The blanket breathes well enough to prevent damp overheating, though it lacks the sheer thermal density of heavy boiled wool for freezing outdoor conditions.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild liquid detergent, then tumble dry low or line dry flat. In the first three washes, expect a fair amount of loose lint in the dryer trap as the brushed nap settles. Pet claws and sharp jewelry will snag the open weave if pulled aggressively.
