Description
These dryer balls are formed entirely from solid New Zealand wool, felted tightly layer by layer into dense spheres without hollow cores, synthetic fillers, or binding adhesives. As the dryer drum rotates, the balls tumble between fabric layers, physically separating damp garments so heated air circulates more freely through the load. This mechanical action softens stiff cotton weave, breaks up wet bundles of towelling, and shortens tumble-dry cycles by up to twenty percent.
The wool is unbleached, unscented, and free of added oils, leaving zero chemical residue or synthetic fragrance on clothing. They will not damage clothing fibres, snap plastic buttons, or leave oily films inside the drum like commercial liquid conditioners or coated fabric sheets.
Use three balls for regular loads and all six for heavy bedding or bath sheets. Over months of use, the exterior will fuzz slightly, which increases surface friction and helps aerate fabrics. These balls cannot eliminate persistent static cling generated by entirely synthetic polyester garments in dry winter weather, and they make a noticeable thudding sound against metal dryer drums.
