Constructed from dried natural seagrass bound over a firm braided cotton cord, this basket provides rigid structure while retaining slight, forgiving flex. The coiled weave is pulled tight to prevent gaps, ensuring small items like rolled washcloths, dryer balls, or hairbrushes do not slip through the weave. Two integrated cut handles are worked directly into the upper rim, reinforced with continuous binding so they will not pull away or fray under moderate lifting loads.
The base is shaped into a softened square, maximizing interior flat surface area while fitting cleanly onto standard twelve-inch and sixteen-inch deep linen shelves. Because the cotton foundation resists crushing, the walls remain vertical and will not sag outwards even when filled to capacity with spare linens or folded denim.
Because natural seagrass absorbs moisture from humid air, this basket should not be placed inside damp shower stalls or left on wet floor surfaces where mould can form. Spot clean with a dry brush or lightly damp microfiber cloth, and allow to air dry completely before returning to enclosed closet shelves.
