Description
Designed to anchor the center of the table, this large Stonecroft serving bowl measures thirteen inches across and stands three inches high. Its low, open profile allows tossed greens, grain salads, or roasted vegetables to spread outward rather than compress under their own weight. Cast from heavyweight stoneware, the thick walls absorb ambient temperature, keeping crisp salads cold if chilled prior to service, or insulating warm polenta and pasta courses.
The interior features the collection’s distinctive reactive glaze, marked by soft pooling and matte mineral variations that give visual depth to the surface. A subtly defined lip provides a firm purchase when carrying the loaded bowl from counter to dining table. The base sits flat on an unglazed, wet-ground foot that resists rocking during serving.
The bowl cleans readily in the dishwasher and withstands microwave reheating. Due to its thirteen-inch breadth and solid four-pound weight, it demands considerable storage space and may not fit comfortably on narrow pantry shelves or in compact dishwashers without occupying two full plate racks.
