Formed from lead-free crystalline glass, each stemware piece features a single-piece pulled stem rather than a separate welded rod. This drawing technique eliminates the fragile, noticeable seam where stem meets bowl, dispersing hand pressure evenly down into the broad, flat foot. The bowl tapers inward toward a cold-cut, laser-polished rim that directs wine across the palate cleanly without bulky bead lines.
Following forming, the entire glass passes through a prolonged annealing lehr to relieve internal mechanical stresses. This thermal tempering gives the glass the elasticity needed to survive the mechanical vibration, water spray, and heat cycles of an ordinary home dishwasher. It offers the optical clarity and ringing tone of fine tableware while tolerating casual dinner duty.
Holding sixteen fluid ounces when filled to the rim, the bowl provides suitable headspace for an eight-ounce pour to breathe. Although resilient against standard cycle washing, the drawn glass remains slender; twisting the bowl against the foot while polishing with a tea towel will shear the central stem, so always dry stem and bowl separately.
