Description
These everyday glasses are pressed from clear soda-lime glass with a solid, half-inch sham that anchors them securely on wood, zinc, or cloth. The profile rises from that weighted base with a steady, quiet taper, settling comfortably into the hand whether wet from condensation or dry from the cupboard. There are no flutes, facets, or applied branding to compete with dinner plates or table linens.
The walls are left moderately thick for daily durability, finished with a melted rim that feels smooth to the mouth without the fragile, razor-thin edge of formal crystal. Each glass holds twelve ounces to the brim, providing ample room for a standard pour of water, juice, or iced tea with two or three square ice cubes.
They run through residential dishwashers without clouding or etching under standard detergent use. While the slight conical shape allows you to nest them two high to conserve shelf space, they are not tempered against aggressive wedging. Dropping one tumbler inside another with force will cause thermal suction and can shear the inner walls.
