Description
Molded from clear, heavy soda-lime glass with a stable three-millimeter wall thickness, this pantry canister provides substantial heft that will not slide across shelves when reached for. The wide cylinder opening allows whole scoops or measuring cups to dip directly inside without snagging on an interior collar.
The lid is lathed from solid laminated bamboo, fitted with a custom, double-ribbed food-grade silicone gasket. When pressed firmly into the canister mouth, the ribbed seal expels displaced air and establishes a persistent friction vacuum, locking out pantry moisture to keep whole bean coffee, coarse salt, and rolled oats crisp. To break the closure, grip the lid edge and lever it upward slightly to vent the pressure.
The glass jar is dishwasher-safe and tolerates hot water washing without clouding. The natural bamboo lid requires separate care: wipe it clean with a damp cloth and never submerge it in water or wash it in a dishwasher, as water penetration will warp the wood laminations and degrade the seal fit. This jar is meant for upright dry pantry storage; it is not leakproof for thin liquids if tipped sideways.
