Description
These square dish cloths are woven from unbleached ring-spun cotton in a deep three-dimensional honeycomb grid. That recessed weave increases surface area and creates open channels for air circulation, which helps moisture evaporate quickly between washings. Because the cloth sheds water rapidly rather than holding it in dense bundles of yarn, it resists souring and stale kitchen odors through repeated daily counter wipes and pan washing.
Each cloth measures ten by ten inches when dry, shrinking slightly after the first wash into a thicker, tighter puckered waffle. The perimeter is finished with a flat lockstitch hem that prevents fraying at the corners and lies flat against flat drying rails. They hold enough structure to scrub dried porridge or egg from cast iron without scratching seasoned pans.
Wash them warm with like colors and dry on low heat or hang over a faucet to air dry. Do not use liquid fabric softeners, which coat the cotton fibers and reduce water absorption. Note that while the waffle pockets pick up coarse debris reliably, they are not suited for smooth lint-free polishing of fine crystal stemware.
