We want this shop to be usable by everyone who wants to buy from it, including people using a screen
reader, a keyboard on its own, voice control, or a browser zoomed well past its default size.
WHAT WE AIM FOR
We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard
most of the web measures itself against, and it is the one we test our own pages with.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO
Every product photograph carries alternative text describing the object, not a keyword list. Colour is
never the only thing carrying a piece of information — anything marked in colour is also marked in words.
Text contrast is measured against the background it is actually painted on rather than the one we
intended. Every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus
outline is left visible rather than removed for tidiness. Page structure uses real headings in order, so
a screen reader can skim the page the way a sighted reader does. Text reflows without horizontal
scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport.
WHERE WE FALL SHORT
This is an honest list rather than a claim of perfection. Some longer product descriptions have not yet
been reviewed for reading level. We have not yet published captions or transcripts for the small number
of product videos we plan to add.
TELL US
If you hit something on this site that you cannot use, email support@plgoodsco.store or call (702) 563-9498 and describe what
happened and what you were using. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will complete your order for you
by whatever means works. You do not have to explain why you need it — just tell us what broke.
